Welcome to stone+petal

We are Sarah and Nathan, and our name represents exactly how we balance each other, and our business.

Sarah is Stone. The rock. An NHS worker by profession, she is the head of the operation, reading every label, asking the hard questions, and keeping us honest.

Nathan is Petal. The creative heart. As an architect, he is all about the soul of design, spotting the colour, shape, and beauty first to keep us joyful.

stone+petal is what happens when our two worlds meet. It started on a rare, quiet Sunday over coffee, admiring a handmade ceramic bowl on our kitchen table. We realised we wanted to bring that exact feeling, the quiet joy of a beautifully considered object, to others.

Born from a Beautifully Full Life

Our daily life is a wonderful, chaotic juggle of hospital shifts, architectural blueprints, school runs for our child with complex needs, and navigating life with our grown daughter and our bossy little dog, Ozzy.

Amongst the beautiful busyness, we needed a creative space that was entirely ours. A place where the only brief was joy.

The Head & The Heart

We curate slowly and intentionally. We have one strict rule: nothing makes the shelves unless we both say yes.

Nothing passes unless it satisfies both the head and the heart, the stone and the petal. We focus on independent makers and timeless, minimalist pieces you’ll want to live in.
